avg_seasonal_fluctuation(series, normalize=True)[source]#

Classification according to Martens et al. [2013].

Parameters:

  • series (pandas.Series) – Pandas Series with DatetimeIndex and head values.

  • normalize (bool, optional) – normalize the time series to values between zero and one.

float

Notes

Mean annual difference between the averaged 3 highest monthly groundwater heads per year and the averaged 3 lowest monthly groundwater heads per year.
